• Mickey & Zakir open the show with a few minutes of randomness
• Then Zakir & Kumar play ~an hour of classical indian (the best part of the night, IMHO)
• then intermission
• then all three do about 20 min of random techno jam … lots of looping & electronics; some traditional drums, but mostly feeding loops or layering on top of the loops.
• then Mickey says “sorry, i have to leave” (turns out he was committed to appear at a second gig tonight, up in Petaluma or Sebastopol)
• Z+K play another hour or so, two pieces in what I interpret as “light classical” style
