Performers

Mostly easy drive over from Oakland: leave home a minute or two after 8 AM, cruise up the mountain and drop Ting off at the entrance, then drive another mile or two to park atop Mt. Tam: first one at the summit lot this morning! Parked by 9:10 or so. After hearing from the understaffed and underprepared lot guys that the first shuttle down the hill wouldn't run until 10 am, I started walking: no reason to wait that long! Got about a half mile before friends came by and offered me a lift down. Perfect!

Short wait in the shade outside the entrance gates. Vax check, entrance bracelet, cursory bag inspection and we're ready for the 400 yard dash to the pit! Despite passive-aggressive wedging from a few randos, we end up exactly in the spot we want: on the rail, just a little to stage right of center.

Lots of time to spread out and get settled, shop a little bit (very expensive shorts!), shoot the breeze with other early birds, and generally enjoy the morning.

11:10 now and the opening act is finally getting their soundcheck (after waiting for the second act to get set up, then clear the stage).

The Holmberg's set is short and sweet. A good effort from a couple of sprouts (Paul is still in high school). Lessee if they can keep it together awhile and keep on growing!

William Wayland posted a review and picture gallery on the Bay Bridged, which shut down shortly thereafter at the end of September. Sad!

Joshua Zucker posted a review of the fest with the SF Chronicle.

Big thanks to Ting for the photo gallery!
