I was psyched for this show – New Orleans Brass Music, yeah! – but then let down this evening to find that they'd caved in to seasonal notions, with 2/3 of the set filled up by not-especially-jazzy Christmas music. Grrr! The bait-and-switch got me again!

Did I mention that I was grumpy because it was all of 50-something inside the reasonably well ventilated room? Good thing I was wearing winter outdoor-wear – even with that, I was cold and stiff by the time the set ended at 7 PM. Hard to imagine how the players felt!
