Performers

Spektral Quartet

First set is terrific. I love Glass, and today's offering was performed quite well. The second half offering of Schubert contrasted sharply: a stone classic against the modern pulse of the Glass work. I liked them both, and I thought the pairing was good programming.

Set Two was quite untraditional: to begin, the stage was set with four snare drums, activated by small speakers, triggered by the members of the quartet.

Whoa! This section is incomplete for now, sorry!

Joshua Kosman posted a complimentary review of the second set with the SF Chronicle Datebook.
