Weekend BART delays mess up out agenda immediately, but that turns to our advantage when we arrive at the venue and walk in pretty much right away instead of standing around waiting in the fog. Ting bolts for the pit and finds space with the usual rail rats, I make myself at home on the 1st tier, dead center, pressed back against the sound of lightboard rail: if I can't be leaning on the drink rail, I might as well sacrifice the view in order to rest my ass leaning the other direction. Presumably the sound here is going to be exactly perfect!

Turns out the sound was good, but not loud enough to drown out the chit chat of disinterested or distracted folks nearby, but present for reasons other than listening. Oh well. The yahoos seem to be following me everywhere I go!

Overall, I'm glad I came though the performance didn't rile me up nearly as much as the Frost show did earlier this year. Better come back tomorrow to see if they can do better!

Bolt after the show. Seven min to get to Powell station platform, then 15 min wait for the right train. Doh! Should have driven to West Oakland!
