Oh man, we got a brass party tonight. 90 minutes flew by in a flash! I wouldn't have complained if they'd played a few more tunes, but maybe Lesher has a curfew? Walnut Creek needs to roll up the sidewalks at night? Snowball was my favorite: that wiggly beat makes me want to jump up and boogie around joyfully like the Peanuts kids. Second favorite tonight was Raid on the Mingus House Party – Mingus might get a lot of respect, but you don't hear enough folks doing his tunes, IMHO. This one's a tribute rather than a cover, and it's a darn good one too!

Delfeayo introduced everyone twice, but I couldn't quite make out the last name for the new trombone player either time… hopefully I'll get that figured out sooner or later.
