Skunk put on a good show for us tonight: I'm glad we rallied! I didn't buy his Speed of Heat disc, but I assume what we heard is pretty darn close to the versions recorded for that. I appreciated that the covers were mutated from the originals – it's always more interesting to be surprised by the sound of something new that remains familiar enough to be recognizable. Given that the singing wasn't particularly strong, I was a little surprised that James Raymond didn't get a turn at lead – maybe that's something to blame on Yoshi's for enforcing a curfew (and cutting down the possible performance time?). Hard to say…
