Notes

Having enjoyed their 2022 show, I was psyched to see this show appear on the 2023-24 SFJAZZ season, and I'm glad to have made it the first show I attended in 2024.

And I was especially glad to be able to watch Friday night's performance via SFJAZZ' Friday's Live webstream. What a gem! I hate to say it, but Friday seems like it had a little more energy and verve: maybe Thursday was a travel day that had the band feeling a little ragged? It wasn't a bad show by any means, but they were cookin' with gas on Friday night, that's fo' sure! If we're lucky this show will get added to the new SFJAZZ At Home series of on demand videos: I was skimming the initial announcement, and boy oh boy, there are a LOT of shows I gotta get to before the viewing period expires!
