Great set from Peter and the boys to get things started off this morning. Blazing hot out here though, and no hope for shade except for what you brung with you (parabrellas? what a good notion!). The crowd is just starting to fill in good at this point – the blankets stretch pretty far back, but for now there's a lot of free space available on top of the tarps and blankets.

Someone or something onstage has developed a nasty crackle – bad battery perhaps? – that seems to be getting worse as the set stretches on. Odd that there's been no effort to correct it; maybe just thinking that the show must go on? Or it's PA problem not audible onstage so the soundman can pretend it isn't there? Anyways, it's an annoyance, but I can't do much besides try and ignore it.
