YMD duties kept us ensnared in the east bay until lunch time, so as hard as we tried, we still didn't arrive until after 1 PM – early enough to hear the main event, but late enough to miss the early festivities. Oh well! Found parking way up above the amphitheatre, then walked in from the back, happily running into Bill Pelletier and Scott Smader, who offered us a shady spot up on the hillside. We toured about briefly, but I quickly decided that it was way too hot in the sunshine (given that I was dressed for a typical foggy SF afternoon instead of blazing sun), and so proceeded to torture my knees and feet by balancing on the steep slope for the next few hours. It was great fun, but painful by the end. Probably should have spent more time sitting down, or gone to find a flat spot in the shade instead…

Many thanks to the musicians who put on a rockin' good time for us. Makes me glad to live in the bay area!
