The T line team from BART to Chase Center is crowded with happy heads, but strangely, Thrive Plaza is relatively empty, and we soon take up separate positions at the front of two entrance lines. Now to settle down and wait. I try to make myself comfy, but things are totally f#@ked up when my plastic water bottle explodes: too old I guess. My coat protected my chest, but the lap fill of water has my legs cold and wet. Crapola!

A few minutes later, a Chase employee comes by saying that GA is to be at the side, so u changed lines. F#@k. Wrong decision when we started out? Only time will tell…

And the result is… Awesome! Used the power of friendliness to squish into few square feet dead center, about 10 back from the rail. Happy Happy Happy (even though my pants are still wet).

Tonight's show is a blast. A solid notch above LA for my personal enjoyment. Can't really argue that the show was any better: the same annoying traits were still on display; but dancing on home turf, surrounded by friendly faces, it all just worked better.

Did I mention yet that I spilled half my water? Stupid no cap rule strikes against me. Gotta remember to pack a handful of caps into my show bag!

We take our time leaving the venue once the show ends: it's too easy to run into friends that haven't yet been hugged or chatted with, but after a half hour or so we find an exit that shots is out onto the South side of the building where the buses are all lined up. Yay! Walk to the front of the line, look around the corner to spot the first bus (or the current first bus!), then cross and hop about for the ride to 16th & Mission.

11:25 PM and we're on a train home. Kinda dirty, and populated with a few freaky dudes, but we got seated, and that's really what counts late at night after dancing on concrete for a few hours. Homeward bound!
